Home / Base Layers

Base layers and padded tops, cut and sewn in the same workshop

A second line, made on the same floor that knits our brace liners: ribbed short-sleeve and long-sleeve tops and camisoles with sewn-in cup padding, in six colours and a print option. This page is for buyers sourcing a base layer, not a liner.

What this line is, and what it is not

What this line is

A ribbed knit top or cami, cut from flat panels and sewn up the sides, with cup padding sewn into a pocket mesh at the bust. Neckline, armhole and hem are bound with a rib trim. Six stock colours, one print, three silhouettes.

What this line is not

It is not a brace liner, and it is not seamless. If what you need is a tube knitted in one piece with no side seam — that is our liner range. We run both constructions, and we will tell you which one a style actually needs.

Two constructions under one roof is the point: the machine gauge that suits a thin liner is wrong for a padded top, and the reverse is also true.

Three silhouettes, one rib

Same yarn, same needle, same trim. What changes is the sleeve and the neckline depth.

Six colourways of a ribbed short-sleeve top with sewn-in cup padding, hung on a rail

BL-01Short Sleeve

Ribbed short sleeve, wide round neck, cap-height sleeve. Six colours: white, ivory, blush, grey, two prints.

Six colourways of a ribbed long-sleeve top with sewn-in cup padding

BL-02Long Sleeve

Same body, long sleeve, crew neckline. The piece that sells through autumn and winter in northern markets.

Camisoles with sewn-in cup padding in solid and printed colourways

BL-03Cami

Narrow strap, scoop neck, solid and print. The lightest piece in the range and the cheapest to ship.

What the construction actually looks like

Close-ups, not adjectives. The seams are visible on purpose — this is a sewn garment and we describe it as one.

Fabric, colour and what you can change

Everything below is stock. Anything outside it is a sampling conversation, not a promise on this page.

Rib knit

Vertical rib body with a rib trim at the neckline, armhole and hem. Two weights available for sampling — the exact yarn count and fabric weight are confirmed on the spec sheet for your order.

Six colours + print

White, ivory, blush, grey, and two print grounds. Colour is matched to your swatch or to a Pantone reference on the spec sheet.

Padding

Sewn-in cup padding in a pocket mesh, removable or fixed depending on the style. Pad thickness and cup shape are set per order.
